We caught the tail end of this storm – didn’t get a lot of hail thankfully. We did get some pretty large hailstones though, have a look.

That perfect circle in the middle is a quarter.

Today is the snowiest day since 1978 and this is the snowiest winter since 1978 for the DFW area – so much for that global warming theory.

At the time of this writing (2 pm), the “official snowfall” at DFW Airport is 5.2″.

UPDATE: Ok, so it’s the next morning (2/12) and we ended up with 12.5″ officially – a new single day all-time record for this area – the old record was 7.8″.

Oncor says 180,000 people are without power this morning – we only lost a few tree limbs in this but we still have power – knock on wood!
